Ingredients
2 Ridge gourds (Ghosale in Konkani)
1/2 onion
1 cup Daal
1 cup grated coconut
6-8 red chillies (as per taste)
Salt

Preparation
Chop the ridge gourd into medium pieces.
Boil Daal and the chopped ridge gourd in a pressure cooker
Fry the red chillies and grind it along with the grated coconut and little water to have a medium thick paste.
Once the daal cooles down, heat it in medium flame and add the ground masala and cook for 15-20 mins.
Saute onions in a separate pan for the sizzle and sprinkle it into the above mixture and cook for 2 mins.
