Ingredients-
1 unriped Plantain
6 garlic cloves
1 cup grated coconut
5-6 roasted dry red chillies
1 tsp tamarind paste
Salt
Oil
Serves - 2 to 3
Method-
- Peel the plantain and cut it into 1/4th inch circular slices.
- Boil them in about a cup of water along with 1 garlic clove till the plantain pieces are partly cooked and soft.
- Grind grated coconut, roasted dry red chillies, tamarind paste and salt to get a fine paste. Keep this aside.
- In a container mix together the boiled plantain pieces, ground mixture and water (you can use the same water in which you boiled the plantains) and cook for 5 mins on medium flame.
- In a separate pan, take about 1 tsp of oil and roast the remaining 5 garlic cloves.
- Add this to the gravy and cook for 5 more mins.
- Dish is ready to be served.
